ABOUT US

The Australia In Vines Association (AIVA) is a non-profit organisation founded in 2012 by passionate Australian winemakers, vineyard and winery owners, wine distributors, restaurant owners, sommeliers, etc.

Our association focuses on helping vineyards filter genuine buyers from China, as well as helping Chinese consumers better understand Australian wine culture. To cope with increasing demands from both countries, we've been successful to provide a platform for communications between Australian and Chinese wine industries and promote not only Australian wine products, but also wine culture to the Chinese,  Asian and global wide.

We initiated the White Knight Project to support Australian boutique vineyards and wineries and promote Australian wine culture to fellows around the world, especially to the Asian market. The project consists of three programs: Yarra Valley Experience at Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair (HKIWSF) 2014, Experience Beyond Sunshine at Vinexpo 2015, and the coming Sunshine & Friends at HKIWSF 2015. Every program compromises a series of events, including not only pavilion exhibition featuring wine master class and food and wine matching, but also high-profile Gala Dinner, full range media reports and PR campaign. We have received a strong response to the White Knight Project, and with the strong support of our members, we have won the Special Recognition Award by Hong Kong Trade Development Council for our efforts in facilitating wine business communication between Australia and Hong Kong during the past year.

Besides, we have continued to assist Australian wine businesses in developing partnerships with distributors in China, as well as service for first time exporters to China to make sure they comply with China’s Custom regulations. Moreover, we are the first association in Australia that offers wine courses in Mandarin, Cantonese, and English. Winestyles Magazine, our bi-annual publication, has been highly spoken of by industry peers and Chinese speaking readers from Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Australia.

To complement our services, our association has a competent professional consultancy team including Philip Shaw (Philip Shaw Wines, NSW), David Middleton (Mount Mary, VIC), Gus del Rios (Del Rios, VIC), etc. These experts have been assisting with cases in vineyard management, wine quality, wine education, wine import and export, etc.

Due to the non-profit nature of our association, your support forms the vital part of the growth of our association, benefits our community, and is greatly appreciated.
